Sometimes you may need a literal Q itself rather than as a "THE" shortcut. In that case, you can just add the convention of using QQ instead: "Q QQUEEN'S MAQMATICS TEXTBOOK." Using the double-q makes the message longer (as does added explanation of how Q's replace "the" and the double-q convention, called the compressed file's dictionary), but since Q's are so rare, the savings from using Q in place of "the" results in net compression of the length of the message.
A 50,000 byte file of the first part of the Frankenstein novel (which is a good sample of English text) compresses down to 20,755 bytes (it's not nearly as repetitive as the "Don't panic!" file, but still has a lot of repetition in it.)
If we can reduce the space a file takes up, why don't we compress everything all the time? The reason is because compressing and decompressing a file takes time. If you have to decompress a file each time a program wants to read it (and re-compress it whenever a program modifies a file), then your programs would run slower. Often this savings on disk space isn't worth the slow down.
However, since transferring a file over the Internet is a lot slower than reading a file on your hard drive, the time savings from downloading a compressed file make up for the small amount of time you have to decompress the file after it is downloaded.
Picking up a physical copy at your local game store can be a great way to avoid huge downloads, but not always. Nowadays digital downloads are so ubiquitous that sometimes the only thing on the game disc is just a script to download the game from Steam anyway.

When Kodi plays streaming videos, it downloads a few seconds at a time to the cache. This allows for faster access and smoother streaming. However, when the cache fills up entirely it can cause Kodi to behave erratically. Choppy video is a tell-tale sign that the cache is getting full and although the cache usually empties itself, sometimes it needs to be flushed manually.
If you try to play a video and see an error that reads "No stream available", the first step is to make sure you're actually connected to the internet. If so, it's likely the addon you're using is either broken or trying to pull links from third-party sources that no longer exist.
But what if your rankings don't bounce back, or if you're just worried and want to make sure everything is in order? Go through the steps listed in this guide to quickly determine whether your website is suffering from SEO issues, or all is good and Google only needs a bit of time.
When your rankings suddenly drop, the key is not to panic. It's crucial to have a list of things to check in place, so that you do the right things for the right reasons and don't start pushing buttons at random that could make matters worse. Always keep in mind that Google doesn't care about your website, they only care about their users (and their own bottom line). Follow the user and rankings will come.
When we see ranking drops the first step is - don't panic! It could well be a penalty but, 9 times out of 10 the issue is simple - you/your team broke something. Check your change logs before you go blaming an algorithm update.
Most of the time when I see big drops now it's because of redirects. It's either old redirects were dropped in a migration or rules are overwritten, removed, or put in wrong. Sometimes it's less obvious and say an old domain that was redirected to your site expired or if your old site was on HTTPS, one thing I'm seeing a lot more of recently is that security certificates on old domains are expiring and they no longer redirect properly.
Keep in mind that ranking drops due to Google algorithm updates don't always happen instantaneously. Often times, you'll see your rankings gradually slipping away. This makes sense, as Google has to recalculate and reprocess immense amounts of data sets.
It's important to know it's not all about what you did. When you are experiencing a rankings drop, one of the first things to do is take a step back and look at the SERP. A lot of times you'll see a rankings drop correlate with a bigger shift in how a SERP looks. If there have been no major changes with your site, it is likely that Google is shifting the SERP landscape and you might need to adjust your content to go with it. Think for instance about pushing video content, implementing structured data or maps listings.
Note that not all backlink tools alert you in case a redirected domain is in fact no longer redirected. Keep a list of redirecting domains, and check from time to time whether they're still properly redirecting.
How many times have you downloaded files from web browsers, messengers, torrents, and mail? When you download files from the Internet, by default they are saved in the Downloads folder, which can easily be found at this location:

Microsoft discontinued its support for Windows 7 long time back. Of course, it still continues to deliver security patches. But does not offer the all-important online and phone support. So, knowing very well the Windows 7 security issues, what are you going to do if your Windows 7 OS runs into a huge security problem? Who are you going to reach out to, now that Microsoft has discontinued its Windows 7 support service? Wait. Don't panic. We have just the right security solution for you.
It's not really a matter of time but rather a need for community support for the project increasing. As an open source project, the way to get something to happen in GrapheneOS is to contribute to it, and this is particularly true for device support since it's very self-contained and can be delegated to separate teams for each device. If you want to see more devices supported sooner, you should get to work on identifying good devices with full support for alternative operating systems with verified boot, etc. and then start working on integrating and testing support.
GrapheneOS aims to provide reasonably private and secure devices. It cannot do that once device support code like firmware, kernel and vendor code is no longer actively maintained. Even if the community was prepared to take over maintenance of the open source code and to replace the rest, firmware would present a major issue, and the community has never been active or interested enough in device support to consider attempting this. Unlike many other platforms, GrapheneOS has a much higher minimum standard than simply having devices fully functional, as they also need to provide the expected level of security. It would start to become realistic to provide substantially longer device support once GrapheneOS controls the hardware and firmware via custom hardware manufactured for it. Until then, the lifetime of devices will remain based on manufacturer support. It's also important to keep in mind that phone vendors claiming to provide longer support often aren't actually doing it and some never even ship firmware updates when the hardware is still supported by the vendors...
GrapheneOS can only fully provide security updates to a device provided that the OEM is releasing them. When an OEM is no longer providing security updates, GrapheneOS aims to provide harm reduction releases for devices which only have a minimum of 3 years support. Extended support updates at minimum will be done until the next Android version. It is likely that we will make a decision around harm reduction releases for other devices with longer lifetimes in Q4 2024. Harm reduction releases do not have complete security patches because it's not possible to provide full security updates for the device without OEM support and they are intended to buy users some limited time to migrate to a supported device. 2ff7e9595c
